At Fern & Stone Studio, we want every client to feel informed, comfortable, and completely at ease before their treatment. Whether you're new to massage or facials, or just curious about what to expect, this FAQ section is here to guide you. From how to prepare for your visit to what makes our treatments unique, we’ve answered some of the most common questions below. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, we’re always happy to help—just reach out.

What should I expect during my first visit?
You’ll be welcomed into our calm, nature-inspired studio and asked to complete a short intake form so we can tailor your treatment. Your therapist will take a few moments to discuss your needs before beginning. Come as you are—we’ll guide you through everything so you feel at ease.

How early should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early to settle in and start relaxing. We have a peaceful waiting area where you’re welcome to help yourself to complimentary herbal tea, coffee, or filtered water before your treatment.

What should I wear for my appointment?
Wear whatever feels comfortable. For massage and facial treatments, you’ll be appropriately draped at all times for privacy. At the end of your treatment, any oils used will be gently removed with a warm towel to ensure no oils are transferred to your clothing

What skincare products do you use?
We proudly use Antipodes Skincare, a New Zealand-made brand known for its use of natural, sustainably sourced ingredients—including native flora such as manuka honey, kawakawa, and harakeke. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, and backed by scientific research to support healthy, radiant skin.

What if I have sensitive skin or allergies?
Please let us know before your appointment. Antipodes products are formulated with gentle, natural ingredients, and we can customise your facial to suit your skin type and sensitivities.

What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee.

Is there parking available?
Yes, there is parking right outside the building, making it easy and convenient for you to arrive without hassle.

Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, gift vouchers are available and make the perfect present for someone special—or yourself.
